We did a felting project for our first 2014 KAL. Using my Argylish stranded chart, we knitted bags and felted them. What fun! Later, we did kitties. (See The Cat’s Out of the Bag). And now, of course, we must do doggies. So, we will knit a bag featuring woman’s best friend. Some charted doggies require a little duplicate stitching for pup’s nose, eyes, and tongue. (Some designs don’t require duplicate stitching.) Thank you to Pat Sample (cozyknitsca), who designed and donated the Schnauzer and German Shepherd charts. And to Fran Gordon, (Maybaby24) for designing and donating her doggie bone peerie. As you will see, knitters got creative, mixing breeds, designing and personalizing the pattern to meet their own specifications. We have included twelve, different charts from which to choose. Knit as charted, or work parts of different charts, combining them to suit.
