You will also need 6 1/4 inch buttons (3 per mitten)

The mittens can be made entirely out of Sandnes yarn, you will need one ball for just the bottom of the mittens. The top has a fake cable pattern, so it might take a bit more then one ball, but I am not entirely sure, I am still trying to get time in to make the tops out of the sandnes yarn myself. :)
