Two patterns: one for a crochet newborn baby sweater (0-3 months) and a matching baby blanket (afghan) made with category 2 (light weight, sport) yarn and a size E/4 (3.5 mm) hook.

The skill level is beginner. This sweater can be done in solid or variegated color yarn, or in multiple colors. To achieve a bigger size, use heavier yarn and/or bigger size hook.

The sweater is crocheted as one piece. Crocheting starts at the bottom of the front and ends at the bottom of the back.

The pattern for the blanket can easily be adjusted to a different size (I included the multiple for the stitch in the pattern).

The pattern is written in English, using US crochet terminology.
