The mohair ruffles of these gloves are knit first in rows, then worked with the cuff stitches later. I think the ruffles resemble the delicate petals of a poppy after they have emerged from the bud. Block the ruffles when you have finished knitting to prevent them from curling up.

Yardage for main yarn, the Naturally Alpine 8-ply. Also asks for 1 ball (181 yards) of Naturally Mist for the cuff ruffles.
