Simple and attractive sweater in women’s and children’s sizes. Two rows in each color, in combination of stockinette and garter stitch, with color change on the wrong side, creates the decorative striped pattern. See “Poppy for Children” for child’s version.

Poppy, p. 48:
There is a mistake in the instructions for the front and back neck. I probably discovered a discrepancy of 2 sts and corrected the wrong piece thereby doubling the discrepancy instead of eliminating it. So sorry!
Back:
…At neck edge bind off 2 sts 2 times… This will give you 18 (20) 22 (23) 26 sts for the shoulder.
Front:
…At neck edge bind off 2 sts (instead of 3) 2 times and 1 st 4 times. You will end up with 18 (20) 22 (23) 26 sts for the shoulder here as well.
