The hot pads are knit in two sections, lined with insulating material to keep your hands and surfaces safe, and then joined by an I-cord border. One side shows off a stranded motif of small posies while the other side displays a larger motif worked in Intarsia. The teapot cosy is worked with a combination of flat and round knitting, while I-cord ties close around the bottom of the teapot. You will need US 6 (4mm) straights of circulars or size to obtain gauge, needles one size smaller than those used to obtain gauge, US 6 (4mm) DPNs for I-cord, yarn needle, stitch markers, insulating batting (optional) and yarn bobbins (optional).
