This is an adult version of the Knitting Up a Baby Bumble Bee Hat by Amy Szczepanski, so she should get the bulk of the credit for the design. This hat is great for using small amounts of handspun yarn, or for leftovers of fancy commercial yarn. Any worsted yarn will do. The Possibly Stashbusting Handspun Stripehead is knit from back to front by creating a hemisphere between two rectangles that are then grafted into a cylinder.

The techniques used in this hat are:
make one, knit two together, use of stitch markers, carrying yarn along selvedge, either sewing or grafting seams
