Potato Socks are an easy, “potato chip” kind of sock - something you can knit without too much thought. It plays with every yarn type, but loves variegated as much as others. These are easily adjustable to whatever your size preference and style preferences are - different heels and toes can be done. Toe written with slipped stitch heel flap and gusset with standard toe.

Sizes: 7”, 8”, 9”, but adjustable beyond these.

Materials
400-462+ yards of fingering weight yarn (main model was Pirates Yarrrn Standard Sock, in Polly, other two were Knit Picks Stroll Tonal in Blue Yonder (7” version), and Knit Picks Felici in Countess (8” version))
US 2 (2.75mm) needles for your favored method (DPNs, a long circular for Magic Loop, or 2 circulars) (OR size needed for gauge)
Stitch Marker (for marking beginning of round – if you use magic loop, you may need a second one for marking one or both sides of the ‘instep’/top of the foot after the gusset)
Scissors
Yarn Needle (for weaving in ends)

Skills Needed
Knit in the round, Knit, Purl, Yarn over, slip purlwise, pick up stitches, ssk, k2tog
