Finally, the perfect accessory for every plant-lover! This potted cactus scarf includes 4 different kinds of plants, loosely based on blue candle cacti, golden barrel cacti, prickly pear cacti, and moon cacti, each nestled in their own terracotta pots.

Since this scarf has a modular construction, it’s really easy to change the length to suit the person who is wearing it.

I would suggest that you be an advanced-beginner crocheter who is familiar with reading crochet patterns. You’ll work in single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, front post stitches, in rows, in rounds, and do lots of seaming.

Use your favorite worsted weight yarn in these colors:
pots: terracotta
cacti: lime green, grass green, kelly green, olive green
flowers: yellow, hot pink, off-white
But feel free to choose your own colors from your stash!

I also use a thinner yarn to create cactus needles which are optional. I’ve used Malabrigo merino worsted for this, since it is single-ply, as well as sashiko thread.
