Yarn Shalimar Yarns Breathless (75% superwash merino wool, 15% cashmere, 10% silk; 420 yd 384 m/3½ oz 100 g): crayfish, 2 skeins.

Needles Size 5 (3.75 mm): 24” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Unlike the other two shawls in this collection—which are worked top down in long rows shaped with short-rows—the Potter’s Shawl begins with a small number of stitches and increases from the top down. At the bottom of the garter body, a perpendicular lace edging is worked along the live stitches.
