Lace is my new love. Who knew??? Prelude: The Tam is designed as a beret, but by adding pattern repeats and blocking it differently, you can easily make this a slouchy beanie. Because it’s lace, this is a stylish tam that can be worn year-round. I knitted mine with wool, but you can use cotton or bamboo to create a more summery fabric. I recommend using a smaller needle for a tighter ribbing.
