Pattern Description from Interweave Online Store:
This fifties-inspired sweater set features a seed stitch cardigan jacket and shell, both with cable and vent details. The slightly shaped, fitted shell is sleeveless with a jewel neck and back buttons. The jacket, also fitted, has a small collar and 3/4-length set-in sleeves with turned-back cuffs. Both pieces have crocheted edges.

Finished Size: 36 (38, 40, 42)“ (91.5 (96.5, 101.5, 106.5) cm) bust/chest circumference. Shell shown measures 38” (96.5 cm).

Yarn: Classic Elite Provence (100% mercerized cotton; 256 yd (234 m) /125 g): #2689 Pink, 3 (3, 3, 4) skeins for shell.

Yarn weight: #3 - Light

Gauge:

  • 20 sts and 36 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Seed st
  • 22 sts and 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) in St st.

Needles: Size 6 (4 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
