She was once a commoner like yourselves, but perhaps you will not find her common now! Here is The Princess … Pretty Pretty Princess!

To crochet the Princess, you need yarn in the colors you see here, which is to say, red, metallic, caucasian flesh tone, and one shade of yellow, or even better, two shades that look good together. You should also have blue safety eyes and a length of jewelry wire about 8 inches long (this is for stability, so anywhere in the 16-20 gauge range should do). Required stitches include sc, HDC, DC, and sc2tog.

I would classify this as an intermediate pattern, not because it’s so endlessly complex, but because the pattern involves more shaping and more time than an easy ami that you can create in one sitting. It is not, in other words, the ideal starter project for a beginner. If you’ve made a few amis, you’ll be fine!

When finished, Pretty Pretty Princess stands just under 8 inches tall, which makes her pair nicely with a Dreadful Dreadful Pirate ami, who is just a little taller still.
