Will you prevail? This hat may look complicated but only requires, knit, purl, left twist and right twist stitches.

So warm, so soft, so pretty. Sometimes putting something on that protects and comforts me reminds that whatever the weather (real or metaphorical) good things will prevail if I stay strong and grounded. Cold can be overcome, and we will return to the hearthside. The world will be set to rights and the darkness banished. Yes, a gentle little knitting project will soothe and calm, contributing, in a small, but important way, order and beauty. Meanwhile, the loveliness of a luxury yarn provides a moment of restorative pleasure.

Designed to be worn gently slouchy or as a beanie with the brim turned back.

5 mm (US 8) circular needle or correct needle size to achieve gauge and a needle 1mm (1-2 US sizes) smaller for the ribbing. You can use DPNS if you prefer. Pattern assumes magic loop, but you may substitute your preferred method for small circumference knitting when decreasing the crown.

I used smaller needles as I am a looser that average knitter.
