THE CURRENT VERSION CONTAINS CORRECTIONS. IF YOU DOWNLOADED THIS PATTEN PRIOR TO 2 MARCH 2015, PLEASE NOTE ERRATA:
ERRATA: In the middle of page 4, in the section immediately before the neck band, two of the numbers of decreased stitches for the medium size are wrong. They are 8s and should be 7s. Also, in the fourth line of “Next Row”s, for the small size, you should purl 32, not 31. The corrections are here, in bold:
Your stitch count should now be S: 58, M: 62, L: 66.
Continue in stocking/stockinette stitch (knit all stitches on the RS, purl all stitches on the WS) for the next 34 (38, 42) rows, ending
with a purl (WS) row.
Next row: Cast off 6 (7, 8) sts, K 52 (55, 58).
Next row: Cast off 6 (7, 8) sts, P 46 (48, 50).
Next row: Cast off 7 (7, 9) sts, K 39 (41, 41).
Next row: Cast off 7 (7, 9) sts, P 32 (34, 32).
Next row: Cast off remaining 32 (34, 32) sts.
The yarn amounts for the main colour should be 400, 500 and 600 yds.

THIS PATTERN REQUIRES 5 PRINTED PAGES, 4 in B&W and 1 IN COLOUR.

An exact replica of soldier sleeveless pullover worn by Prince George in the royal Christmas portrait of December 2014.
This pattern is made of two flat pieces which are then sewn together at the seams.
This project requires casting on, casting off, knit and purl stitches, increases, decreases, picking up stitches, sewing, and a knowledge of intarsia colour work.

I am happy to try to help if you run into problems and welcome all corrections! Just message me through Ravelry.

Notions:
Stitch holder
Darning needle for sewing seams
Stitch marker (preferably one that can hook into or attach to a stitch; a small safety pin works well). You only need one for the pattern, however, you may find several more helpful when picking up stitches at the neck and armholes to knit the ribbed bands; it is useful to divide and mark off sections so that your picked up stitches are as evenly spaced as possible.

Needles:
1 pair US 2/2.75 mm knitting needles, and 1 pair US 5/3.75 mm knitting needles, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 24 stitches and 32 rows = 4”/10 cm in stocking/stockinette stitch (knit all stitches on the RS, purl all stitches on the WS) with larger sized needles. If you need to adjust the size of the larger needles to obtain the correct gauge, for the smaller size needles, use a size 1 mm thinner than the larger needles.
