This regal design combines both the needle art forms of knitting and crochet. It was inspired by the movie Braveheart and the very lovely period head piece worn by Princess Isabella (Sophie Marceau).

Made from 100% French Angora, a crocheted band anchors the piece. It is adorned with a knitted braid that falls into netted buns on either side of the face. A silk scarf is dra
ped and secured around the face ending at the back of the pearl encrusted tiara with the end hanging free. A knitted attached snood with metallic eyelash trim completes the look.

Measures 12.5“ in circumference at the top edge and 16“ long (unstretched).

These snoods fit afghan hounds, standard poodles and other breeds of similar head size.

As with all patterns, a knowledge of basic stitches and the ability to increase and decrease is required. All Angelsun patterns use US abbreviations as set forth by Yarn Standards for publication. Please note that this varies from those used in the UK and possibly elsewhere.

This pattern requires BOTH KNIT AND CROCHET SKILLS. Progress and close-up photos are provided throughout this and all Angelsun patterns. This project requires an Intermediate skill set.

No warranty is implied and no liability is assumed. Results may vary according to tension and skill level. The pattern may not be resold or distributed in ANY form and remains the sole property and copyright 2012 Kelly Lynn Smith DBA Angelsun. As with all of my patterns, customers are WELCOMED to sell finished items~in this case~ snoods.
