Every little girl is a princess in her mother’s eyes… or in my case her auntie’s. Having just my two beautiful boys I don’t get many opportunities to knit girly toys. Luckily that changed about 9 months ago! Princess Scarlett is a small blankie toy with a lovely textured pattern that is not only appealing to the touch but quite pretty to look at too. She was inspired by a vintage doily pattern and hence requires to be knitted in the round for the blanket part. However, if you’d rather knit the blanket flat, then simply cast on 2 sts extra and start and finish every odd row with a k1. Finally join the side edge using mattress stitch to create a circle.
