This 2 colored striped shawl is knit almost seamlessly in 5 separate sections. Each panel is worked by picking up stitches from the selvage edges of a previously knit section and knitting away from the center which results in multi-directional striping. German short rows and garter detailing are added to the final edging to create a prism-like striping effect.

This pattern is good for the intermediate knitter, one who is comfortable with picking up stitches and increasing/decreasing stitches.

Materials:
MC: At least 280 yds fingering/sock weight yarn (shown in Lambstrings Yarn Sadie Sock HT “Sprinkles on Top.”)
CC At least 300 yds fingering/sock weight yarn (shown in Madelinetosh Merino Light “Ink.”)

US #6 and #7, 24” circular needles (to accommodate a large amount of stitches).
25 stitch markers (to mark all GSR’s).

24 sts/34 rows = 4” before blocking.
20 sts/32 rows = 4” after blocking.

Thank you to my test knitters for giving this a go!!!
