Designed to use a Polydactyl Set from Miss Babs, this simple-to-knit scarf is visually striking. It can be knit longer or shorter, depending on the yardage available.

A note on the name: we have had people ask for the “Pterodactyl” pattern at shows, as we often have patterns designed for specific yarn sets. We loved the thought of a scarf called “Pterodactyl,” and therefore decided to call this the “Pterodactyl Polydactyl Scarf ” as a nod to that, and a reference to the sets for which it was designed.

Dec 2014 I uploaded a new version which should be more clear and understandable--I fixed some wording and added some explanation.
Hopefully it is now knitable!
