Walking on the beach in the small fishing town of Puerto Morelos, I came upon Mrs Crosby. I knew by the drink in her hand and yarn on her lap that we would be fast friends. Our conversation moved fluidly between so many topics. Mostly revolving around patterns, rhythms, and sequences; found in nature, found in mathematics, pleasing to the eye. The cowl begins with a Fibonacci Integer Sequence rib and drifts into some pretty patterned lace work.

This pattern was made to showcase the quickly changing colors in Mrs Crosby yarns with beautifully long sections of stockinette and geometric lace.

Gauge is not crucial to this pattern, unless you want to achieve the size of the sample. This pattern uses all of one skein of Mrs Crosby Hat Box. With the lace panel, the cowl does gain size in blocking.

The sample cowl is shown in Bahama Woodstar.
