Across the globe, life and death is celebrated in one way or the other during the darkest time of the year. In Sweden we have All Saints, in the USA you have Halloween with its origin in the gaelic festival called Samhain, Mexico celebrate Dias de las muertos. Regardsless of how we celebrate these holidays spread light in the dark with color, lanterns and bonfires. My contribution to the celebration is a pair of socks with jack-’o’lanterns which has become the symbol of the american celebration.

The socks uses three different colors, but you can mix it up and add more as you please.

The socks are worked top-down with instep heel.

I wish you happy knitting!
