Maxine, my little Mini Dachshund, is practically bald and is always cold. If it’s below 74, she usually has a shirt on. I’ve made her a couple of sweaters, but if you have a dachshund who likes to go outside and dig, you know how impractical this is. I have found that little cowls come in handy a lot. They aren’t just great for cool weather either. I use them on all my dogs after a bath when they still have a little chill from being damp. Yes, my princesses are quite pitiful.

Anyway, Maxine and I decided we wanted to share some of our cowl patterns in case anyone else would like to make some. She’s kicking off her modeling career with this first pattern. I think she’s a natural, but I may be a little biased.
