I designed this pattern after my daughter-in-law asked me to make an elephant lamp she found on Pinterest. Her lamp turned out great and I just had to experiment with the idea for some designs of my own.

Voila! This crochet puppy became my first lamp project. I am currently working on some other designs using the lamp concept.

This pattern is relatively simple. A basic knowledge of crochet terms and stitches is required. It does require assembly of the different parts of the puppy.

This is NOT designed for a toy, however, it could be made a toy easily by just closing the top and bottom of the puppy after stuffing and assembling, leaving off the lamp.

This would make a wonderful baby gift. Make one into a lamp and another as a crib toy without the lamp insert.
