The parallelograms alternate between stockinette stitch and reverse stockinette stitch, and they stack vertically to form soft peaks and valleys. Mirroring the left and right sides of the sock provides further design interest. The parallelograms morph into other symmetrical shapes like triangles, chevrons, etc., at the toe decrease lines and the center front and back.
