I am excited for the Women’s March on Jan. 21, 2017 in Washington D.C., and wanted to participate in the Pussy Hat Project.

I have designed a modified super quick, simple pattern, using low-cost worsted weight yarn for the pussy hat.

I’ve followed a couple of pussy hat patterns, and have found that the ears seem too big to me, and look more like pig than kitten ears. I understand this is for simplicity’s sake.

I wanted to make a pattern that was a quick knit, because we don’t have much time before the day! I made this hat by doubling worsted weight yarn. I think that bulky or chunky yarn could probably be used as well, but I have not tried it yet. You would need half as much yardage if you used the heavier weight and got the same gauge.
