Matching Hat and Cowl

GENERAL INFORMATION
These mitts are worked in the round using two contrasting colours of yarn. The simple stitch pattern lends a texture and bounce to the mitts. The colours and bubbly nature of the pattern remind me of Pyrite, but of course the mitts are much softer! If you have not worked the bubble stitch before there is a photo tutorial and a link to a video to show you how. The pattern is written for Magic Loop, but you can use double pointed needles if you prefer.

MATERIALS
Yarn:
Recommended yarn
: Malabrigo Rios worsted weight yarn 192 m / 210yds / 100g.
MC: Worsted weight yarn see table below: Shown in Malabrigo Rios 192 m / 210 yds / 100 g colour Frank Ochre.
CC: Worsted weight yarn see table below: Shown in Malabrigo Rios 192 m / 210 yds / 100 g colour Niebla.

Yarn choice: It is important to have a good contrast (light vs dark in very different colours) between the MC and CC. Resist the temptation to buy two yarns that complement each other because they share colours in common as the pattern will be quickly lost.
