It’s an airy and eye-catching lace shawl, where I used techniques and symbols from Haapsalu shawls and scarves.

It’s suitable for intermediate knitters.

This shawl is full of nupps and flowers. The first ones are proof of hand knitting. When those are represented, you could be sure that the shawl is handmade.

The total count of nupps is 2028.

The shawl starts with a knitted cast on from outside and is knitted to the center point of the shawl. For cast on you have to take the yarn in double and use 1,5-2 mm larger needles.

The gauge for lace body part with needles 3 mm: 20 sts and 34 rows is 10 cm (4”).
The one motive of the Border Lace with needles 3,25mm is 11,5 cm width and 16,5 cm height.

The shawl measurements are 155 x 155 cm.

The pattern is charted and with a little instructions.
