Quatrefoil is a classic wardrobe staple with clean lines and subtle flair. With its beautifully delicate eyelet pattern, this triangular shawl is a perfect example of understated simplicity.

You work Quatrefoil from the bottom up with increases on both sides of the triangle. The lace is worked on the right side only, and garter stitch ridges on all edges frame the stockinette stitch lace pattern.

YARN
4 balls of Eden Cottage Yarns Askham 4ply (70% baby alpaca, 30% silk; 200 m / 219 yds per 50 g). Shown in colour Air.

Or approximately 724 m / 792 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.

NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge

This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
