quaver – (n.) 1. a tremulous shake, especially in the voice; 2. an alteration of musical tone

The short row sequence that edges this triangular scarf shakes up the even tone of the garter ridges. It is knit from the bottom up and can be made using one or two colors.

Loom: ½” gauge loom with at least 162/182/202 pegs. Kiss Small Gauge adjustable loom (with 2 washers) was used.

Sizes:
162 pegs – 8” x 54”
182 pegs – 8.5” x 60”
202 pegs – 9” x 66”

I used German short rows on this scarf and while you can use traditional wrap and turn short rows I like the smooth look from the German technique. I have included a video link the tutorial showing German short rows done a variety of looms.
