Que Linda is the second pattern in the friendship series of shawls. It was designed for a lifelong friend who grew up in a Spanish speaking home, thus the name, and adores the color orange. Much like the lady who inspired it, Que Linda is bold, stylish and has sparkle if you choose to make it with beads. It is knit from the bottom point to the neck edge and is finished with a unique garter stitch bind off. Que Linda is offered in both a small and large size. The orange shawl at left is shown in the small size and was photographed on The Lawn at the University of Virginia.

This is not a beginner pattern, but a good pattern for an advanced beginner to learn new techniques. Pattern assumes you know how to read a chart, cast on and off, make one using a lifted increase, slip stitches and make yarn overs. Instructions are provided for all other techniques including the crochet hook method to add beads and the garter stitch bind off.

Pattern is charted.

Ocean City Shawlette and See You in September are the first and third patterns in the friendship series of shawls. There is one more in the works!
