Queen Elizabeth II HK Stamp
This is a nostalgic piece: the Queen Elizabeth II HK Stamp Crochet Pattern.
As a Hongkonger, the Queen holds significant meaning for me. I used stamps featuring her portrait when I was a child, and now those stamps have become a part of history. So let’s “bring this history back to life” through crochet!
The piece of fabric created through crocheting has many uses. I chose to sew it onto a fabric bag, adding an outer pocket for storing items, while also simply beautifying the plain white bag.
This project uses a 1mm hook, so it pairs well with 2-ply yarn or a similar thickness. If you opt for a larger hook and thicker yarn, you’ll end up with a bigger piece, which could be a larger mat or even a wall hanging.
Throughout the process, I only used three stitches: sc, hdc, and hd, which are all simple stitches. However, it took quite a bit of time, and I worked on it intermittently over about 10 days.
I hope you like it!
