“Once a king or queen of Narnia, always a king or queen of Narnia.”

~ C. S. Lewis, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

The Chronicles of Narnia have always been one of my favorite series of books. This sock is the first in a series of designs to represent the four thrones at Cair Paravel.

For Lucy, I chose a slipped-stitch pattern that looks like cables and included a few beads. Because even a valiant warrior wants to look beautiful.

The pattern is written for three sizes. Options for knitting even more sizes include: adding more purl stitches in between the patterns or using a slightly heavier weight sock yarn and larger needles. If you choose the latter option, remember the Golden Rule for knitters -- SWATCH!

In addition to sock yarn, you will need 32 size 6/0 beads (or more, should you choose to knit more repeats of the leg pattern or add beads to the top of the foot).
