This shawl uses 3 different diamond motifs to fill its panels. The motifs increase in size towards the bottom of the shawl and are worked on a background of garter stitch. A slightly ruffled edge is cleverly created with a k2tog bind off.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
Intermediate.

SIZE:
Approximately 72” wide across top edge and 32” long at center after blocking.

GAUGE:
20sts and 20 rows to 4” in garter stitch

PATTERN NOTES:
Shawl is worked in 4 panels, each panel is separated from the next by two garter stitches. There is also a 2-stitch garter stitch selvedge at the beginning and end of each row. The chart includes the garter stitches in between panels, but the knitter must knit 1 selvedge stitch at the beginning and end of each row before working the chart. This is noted in the instructions.
