Queen of Scots Socks is the 6th pattern for Mary, Queen of Socks Club.

It was said Mary, Queen of Scots wore light blue sparkly knit stockings for her beheading. While I don’t know exactly what the pattern was on those stockings, these Queen of Scots Socks features a diamond-cabled pattern that is reminiscent of argyle. The texture on the sides of the side makes it easier to fit larger feet. The elegant gusset heel may not be historically accurate, but I’m sure Queen Mary would have approved.

This pattern is lovely in semi-solid, solids, lightly speckled, and lighter-colored yarns to show off the cable details.
