In Quillful, swirling lace flows seamlessly into elegant ribbing. Its inspiration comes from peacock feathers, with their blend of graceful curves and sturdy lines. Together, Quillful’s feather and rib motifs create a piece that’s dainty and substantial and maybe just a touch whimsical.

Designed to showcase silk blends in particular, Quillful will play nicely with any fiber that can be firmly blocked. Choose your favorite solid or tonal to keep the lace pattern front and center, or try a little speckling or gentle variegation for a different look.

Worked in the round from the bottom up with simple shaping, Quillful’s gentle flare means it lays well with little effort. The finished cowl is generous and drapey, despite the fact that it only requires a single skein. The pattern includes a note about where to shorten (or lengthen) your version to use the yarn you have.

Lace is both written and charted, and Quillful has been tech edited and test knit, so you can cast on with confidence!
