I will be knitting a new sweater with the advent I received this year on my YouTube Channel during Vlogmas. I invite you to join me during the month of December where I will demonstrate the following techniques:

  • Crochet cast on
  • my favorite quick seaming
  • 3 needle bind off
  • picking up neck stitches
  • how to finish your bind off in the round so that it is invisible

Quilted Pullover started out as a challenge I created for myself to see if I could create a sweater using the beautiful yarn Advent Calendars I have purchased and loved. Each yarn is so beautiful and this design lets each one shine! I was thrilled when this sweater began to take shape, I knew I would love it and am happy I am able to make something I love from the beautiful Advents I will continue to purchase.

MATERIALS
Yarn:
Vida Merino Sock: 75% superwash merino 25% nylon
92 yards per skein (24 skeins)
Color used: Farmhouse Christmas Advent Minis

Vida Merino Sock: 75% superwash merino 25% nylon
463 yards/100grams
Color Used: Farmhouse Christmas

Needles (suggested size):
US 3 3.25 mm in 16” 40 cm and 24” 60cm lengths for collar, cuffs and hem.
US 4 3.5 mm in 16” 40 cm or 24” 60 cm lengths.

Gauge:
25 sts and 34 rows over 4” 10 cm after blocking with larger needle. Please take time to block your swatch to ensure you have enough yarn for your project.

Notions:
Stitch markers, darning needle, barber cords (or scrap yarn) for holding stitches

Yardage:
Yardage is estimated and may vary depending on yarn used, fiber content of yarn and any modifications to the original pattern (such as texture work or lace).

Sizes:
This cardigan is designed to be oversized and worn with 10 - 15” of positive ease.

1, 2, 3, 4
Finished circumference at bust:
40 (50, 60, 70)”
102 (127, 152, 178) cm

NOTE: pattern has been tested for 60” size, I’m almost sure you will have enough yarn in a single advent for the size 70”, but if you fall short use any fingering weight stash yarn to make up the difference.
