Quimper Stripes
Breton shirts in all shapes and kinds are a big thing this spring, so it seems. Big daughter wanted one, and what is better than a home-knitted one? This one has a slight twist: a bit of colour play at the top. Otherwise it is a straight-knitted stripy sweater, with a bit of waist shaping, folded hems, set-in 7/8 sleeves and a small roll neck. The main body is knitted in the round until the armhole shaping, then it is divided into front and back panels, which are knitted flat. The shoulders are shaped by short rows and a 3 needle bind-off is used for the shoulder seams. The sleeves are knitted flat and seamed to the main body later on.
