This fun cable hat is worked in the round on circular needles starting from the ribbing and working all the way up to the top in one piece, switching to double pointed needles at the crown.

Ribbing is approximately 14” unstretched, stretching to comfortably fit a 22” head.
Hat measures about 9” from ribbing to top of crown.

To make a larger version, a sport or dk weight yarn can be used with a US 7/4.5 mm needle.

Instructions are both charted and written out longhand.

A tonal or slightly shaded yarn shows the cable pattern off much better than a high contrast colorway.
