Quo vadimus? Wohin gehen wir?
Eine Frage, die sich aufdrängt in diesen Zeiten. Klimakrise, eine weltweite Pandemie, wohin wird das alles noch führen? Mancher kommt sich heute vor, wie ein Reisender auf gefährlichen Straßen mit unbekanntem Ziel - ist da überhaupt ein Ziel?
Ich meine, ja! Denn wir haben die Gewissheit, nicht alleine zu sein, Gott liebt die Welt, uns alle, so sehr, daß er uns sogar seinen Sohn in dieses Chaos schickt, um uns den Weg zu weisen. Vertrauen wir, wie die Weisen aus dem Morgenland, dem Leitstern:
Gottes Licht und Liebe in uns. Gehen wir also mit Zuversicht und Freude nach Bethlehem, um das Kind in der Krippe zu finden. Und mögen wir am Ziel erkennen: die Welt ist wunderbar - trotzdem!

Auch unser diesjähriges Tuch beschreitet ungewöhnliche Wege. Es ist nicht wirklich ein Dreieck, aber auch kein Halbmond - ein “crescent triangle”. Es ist symmetrisch, aber auch wieder nicht. Wohin führt also die Reise?
Mit zwei Trio Aquarell und einem Strang Fluffiosa stricken wir über Stock und Stein zu einem großen Kuscheltuch mit verkürzten Reihen, 3D-Elementen und Brioche-Borten. Ein I-cord Rand sorgt für Stabilität.

Quo vadimus? Where do we go?
The question arises particularly in these times of climate crisis and worldwide pandemic.
Nobody knows the way for sure and someone may feel like a traveller on dangerous trails with unknown destination. Is there any destination at all?
I mean, yes! We have the certainty of not being alone. The Lord loves the world and all mankind so much that he even sent his own son into this mess to show us the way.
So like the three Magi let us trust the guiding star, that is the love and the light of God in us. Come on now, let’s go to Bethlehem with joy and confidence to find the child in the crib. And may we recognize at the end of the way: the world is wonderful - nevertheless!

This year’s shawl treads unusual paths, too. It is not really a triangle, not really crescent - the shape is “crescent triangle”. It is symmetrical but not really.
So where does the journey go?
With two Trio Aquarell and one skein of Fluffiosa we will knit over hill and dale to a huge cozy shawl with short rows, 3D- elements and Brioche borders. An I-cord edge ensures stability.
