“This laptop sleeve was named after my dear IBM ThinkPad R31 laptop. No, it’s not the most recent or hippest model, but it works for me, and I love it.

Last winter my laptop needed a warm, cozy place to call home. I wanted something that wasn’t too bulky, and that had a boxy appearance similar to the laptop itself. This sleeve fits like a glove and looks great too. It even has a pocket for the power cord!

The sleeve is great for slipping your computer in, tucking under your arm, and strolling down to the coffeeshop. Or you can slip it into a messenger bag or backpack and be on your way.

Note: Most modern laptops are slimmer than mine and will probably require a thinner sleeve (therefore fewer cast-on stitches for the side pieces, and fewer rows for the top and bottom pieces). The most important thing is to measure your laptop before starting and if you’re in doubt, make it a little smaller - the sleeve should fit very snugly, like a glove for your computer.“
