As with all my patterns, I offer email assistance if you ever have any questions regarding the instructions. If you decide to sell finished products made from this pattern, please credit me and provide a link to my shop.

The crochet pattern is in PDF format and contains instructions for sizes 0-3 month, 3-6 month, 6-12 month, 1-3 year, 3-6 year, 6-12 year, teen/adult small, and adult large. That’s 8 different sizes included in one pattern!

You will need gray, black, and white yarn in worsted weight, as well as fuzzy black or gray yarn for the edges (I use Jo-Ann Sensation Angel Hair in Black & Gray). Alternately, you can make the hat without the fuzzy edge by working all the edges with black instead.

You will need a Size 5.50mm (U.S. I or 9) crochet hook (as well as an H-hook for sizes 3-6 month and 6-12 month, and a G-hook for size 0-3 month). I also recommend a yarn needle, although it is possible to attach pieces using a small hook to “sew” the pieces together.

For the eyes you will need two white buttons (about 1/2 inch diameter) and two black buttons (about 3/8 inch diameter). Just make sure the black buttons are small enough that you can see the white around them when placed together for the eyes. You will also need black thread and a sewing needle to attach the eyes.
