DETAILS
The Rad Plaid Cowl combines 3 colors and simple slipped stitches to create a fun plaid fabric with endless color combo possibilities! This cowl style is perfect for colorwork projects because the floats are hidden inside, and it is so easy to style. Just pop it on to finish any outfit and add a little cozy to your day! It begins with a provisional cast on and is then knit as a tube in the round, twisted once and grafted together using the Kitchener stitch.

YARN REQUIREMENTS
These are just approximations. Total yarn usage will depend on the yarn you use (fiber content, ply, etc.), your personal gauge, and any modifications you may make.

Color A - 70 g/250 yds/228 m Fingering Weight Wool
Color B - 30 g/197 yd/180 m Lace Weight Suri Alpaca
Color C - 50 g/175 yds/160 m Fingering to Sport Weight Handspun Wool Blend

SUGGESTED YARN
This pattern features 3 unique yarns that combine to create a soft and cozy cowl! The main color (A) is a farmy, single ply yarn from Hinterland Yarns! I love the blend of Rambouillet and Alpaca and the natural, undyed soft grey. To add texture and a soft halo- I added in my “fuzz of choice”- suri alpaca from La Bien Aimèe! This yarn (B), even though it is a lace weight, can be knit at a larger gauge thanks to the fluff! Lastly, to add continual interest throughout the cowl, I turned to some of my handspun (C)! This particular skein is a combo spin that slowly shifts from color to color throughout the cowl.

Color A - Hinterland Dusk Fingering Weight (112 g/400 yds/366 m) 70% Rambouillet/30% Alpaca: 1 skein Smoke (Grey)

Color B - La Bien Aimee Kumo Lace Weight (50 g/328 yd/300 m) 74% Baby Suri Alpaca/26% Mulberry Silk: 1 skein Anemone (Lavender)

Color C - Handspun Fingering Weight Wool Blend (252 g/880 yds/804 m) (Multi)
