Rail Sweater is a simple children’s sweater with a round yoke and an allover striped pattern featuring garter ridges in a contrasting color. The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down in the round using 1 strand of Heavy Merino.

You start with the ribbed neckband, shape the yoke with increases before dividing work at underarms. Afterwards, body and sleeves are finished separately in the round. Ribbed edges that mirror the neckband finish both body and sleeves.

The same stripe pattern can be found in Rail Sweater’s sister pattern, Rail Dress.
