In Iowa we have many bicycle trails which used to be railroads. This garter rib reminds me of the rails that are no longer there.

These hats both start at the cuff with a garter rib. In the lighter colored hat, there is one wider band of the garter rib at the bottom. The darker hat has two narrower garter rib bands with stockinette between them. Four sizes are included for toddler to large adult in this easy knit and purl design that is great for the whole family. The small amounts of contrast color used make these a great pattern for using up your leftovers. Think of the variations you can make!

Old-Norwegian Cast-on and Garter Rib cuff are very stretchy. These sizes will fit heads from toddler to large adult. Choose a size that is slightly smaller than head measurement for best fit. The hats shown in the photos are on a head that is 24” 61cm, measured where the cast on edge sits.

Photo Tutorial included for Old-Norwegian Cast-on.

Sizes: Toddler (Child/Adult Small, Medium, Large), 15 (17, 19, 21)” 38 (43, 48, 53) cm around cuff.

Height: 6.5 (7.25, 8.25, 9.25)” 16.5 (18.5, 21, 23.5) cm from bottom of cuff to crown.
