Gather a colorful collection of fingering weight yarns to knit this stashbusting marled blanket. Always hold two strands of fingering weight yarn together and change one color at a time for a Fading Marl effect. Garter stitch and slipped stitches create a simple rain drop effect. The project begins at the corner with increases at each edge. Once you reach the center widest part of the blanket, decreases at each edge shape the other half of the blanket to form a square. You can use as many colors as you like using singles skeins or leftover color pops from your stash.

Gauge
24 sts & 44 rows = 4″ / 10cm in garter stitch slip stitch pattern after blocking. Gauge is not crucial for this project as long as you achieve a fabric that feels good to you.

I recommend casting on the blanket and knitting the beginning of the blanket to check your gauge.
