His name means “three-horned face” which, looking at him, is pretty self-explanatory. Apart from the horns he also has a bony frill – its function has been a subject of many debates. Some claim that, together with the horns, it is used for defense, others, that it can be used in courtship. Unlike his prototype (who was about 8m long and 4m high), our little triceratops is 4 × 2”/ 10 × 5cm.
