Rather than a literal step by step pattern, I have written out how I made this simple yet very effective blanket in a blog post format. I give guidance on the granny square, how much yarn I used and what yarn I used, along with details about creating the border.

It is a large-ish baby blanket measuring approx 89cm.

I used Stylecraft Special DK and my trusty 3.75mm hook (a 4mm is fine). 2 balls of the main colour and extra for the border.
