A simple but effective scrap buster!

This is a very quick knit designed to use up those odds and ends left over from other projects. Use the colours of the rainbow or anything else that takes your fancy. The hat almost flies off the needles as it grows segment by segment. Before you know it, you’re on the last row!

Note: If you use non-DK yarn, e.g., worsted, then you can expect the size of your hat to be different to that indicated in the pattern.

Skills Required: Knitting, purling, decreasing, increasing. Optional pom pom.

Update 20 June 2012
I have updated the pattern as the first version called for 4.5mm/US7 needles. This is the size I used to get gauge. However, I am a tight knitter, so most people will probably use a smaller needle. The pattern now reflects this.
