Crochet rainbow tree from my colorful world :-) This colorful decoration will brighten your home:-) You could decorate your childrens´ room or place it on your table, anywhere you want. It’s such fun to make this cheerful decoration :-)

This pattern is written in standard American (US) terms, in English language, with step-by-step instruction and plenty pictures for succesfull completing of your work. The pdf has 17 pages.


Needed material:

  • some worsted/ 10 ply /medium yarn/ group 4
  • hook 4.5 mm (US 7)
  • tapestry needle
  • common sewing thread and needle
  • flower buttons average average 1,75 cm (14 pieces)
  • mix of wooden and acrylic beads sizes: 4/6/10/14 mm
  • Toho beads-cubes average 4 mm (turquoise, green)
  • 1 button average 34 mm
  • 1 bird button by e.g. Dress it up, Jesse James
  • toy filling
  • natural string
  • scissors
  • small piece of PVC pad

I used this yarn:
100% nonmercerized Cotton yarn - Sugar’n Cream Solids and Denim by Lily
Yarn Weight: Worsted / 10 ply (9 wpi)
Yardage: 120 yards (110 meters) pe 70 grams (2.47 ounces)
Gauge (crochet tension): 13 SC = 4”(10 cm) Fibers: 100% Cotton

I used these colors: 1 ball of Hot Pink 01740, approximately 45 g of Mod Blue 18111, almost half ball of Sage green 0084, Small amount of: Yellow 0073, Orange 1628, Red 00095, Black currant 1318, Rose pink 0046, Warm brown 1130, Hot green 1712

You will need about 150 grams / between 250 – 260 yards of yarn totally.

I used hook 4,5 ( US 7 )

Measurement of finished tree: 35 cm /13.8 inches tall. Please remember, that the size of finished project depends on used material and your own style of crocheting.


Level of the pattern: Intermediate
You should need to know, how to crochet these stitches: Chain (CH), Slip stitch (SlSt), Single crochet (SC), Double crochet (DC), Back post single crochet (BPSC) (it is explained in the pattern), Increasing (inc): 2 SC in same stitch, Decreasing (dec): crochet 2 SC together, Single crab stitch
