The Rainbow wave lap blanket makes for a colourful companion to keep you warm. The calm off-white background creates a canvas for the rainbow of waves to pop! If you’ve created the Rainbow wave pillow, you can use the coloured leftovers to create this lap blanket.

The pattern uses stitches suitable for beginners and a photo tutorial and crochet diagrams are included. The pattern is written in US terms. The stitches that are used include:

  • chains
  • half double crochet

A blocked and finished blanket measures 85 x 105 cm (33½  x 41¼ in). You will need 13 balls of the base colour, and up to 16 colours of rainbow colours of Scheepjes Stone washed, depending on how many colours you want to use.

The leftovers of the rainbow colours are also used for the Rainbow wave pillow: With 30 balls of Scheepjes Stone Washed you can create both patterns!

The blanket you make following this pattern is yours and you are free to sell it, as long as you credit Haak Maar Raak as the original designer. Please do not reproduce the pattern itself in any way.
